This compact magnetic travel chess set is perfect where you want something small but still large enough for a practical game of chess. This model has a drawer that pushes out with individual formed compartments for securely holding the pieces - no rattling around! The chessmen have powerful magnets that will keep them in place even if you don't have a flat and stable surface to play on. The wood case and chessmen are made of sheesham wood and boxwood and we include an attractive brown leatherette case to protect the wood in your travels.

The set arrived quickly and packaged carefully. I was delighted when I opened the box and removed my chess set. It was everything I had hoped for and I played a game that night. I'm very pleased with mine. Attractive and perfect for study or casual play. The inc. case serves as a scratch cover, but not anything else. Not a detraction, since I would have bought a messenger type bag for transport anyway.

i bought this set for my husband. Overall well pleased with the quality of the product however The felt had started to peel off nafter a short time. The service though was remarkable as one of the pawns had a weak magnet. i called the company and not only were they extremely pleasant but quick to send out another pawn.

Originally bought the 16" folding set. It was very nice but too big for a travel set. The return was painless. So, I went ahead and got the push out drawer 10" set. Magnets work very well. I like it with no fold in the middle. The board is very appealing. Perfect for laying on the floor while reading a chess book and playing out a game. Very nice.
