This is our largest folding magnetic travel chess set. Though it's large and it feels like playing on a full size set, it folds in half making it easy to carry or take on a trip if you have room. Inside it has individual formed compartments for securely holding the pieces - no rattling around! The chessmen have powerful magnets that will keep them in place even if you don't have a flat and stable surface to play on. The wood case and chessmen are made of sheesham wood and boxwood and we include an attractive black leatherette case to protect the wood in your travels.

This set is good value for money, the quality of the board is high, the brass clips are a little on the cheap side, however, for what I paid, not a problem. It was a gift and I will buy another as a gift. The pieces are carved very well, have good weight, and the magnets in the base give the pieces a feel of subtance. It is not too small for a home set, which is why I purchased it, and the case holds the pieces with the board, so as a gift for a young lad who plays chess, it was perfect. The ...
