Robin Hood II Theme Chess Set

Robin Hood and his outlaw band of merry men face the Sheriff of Nottingham and his cohorts on the chess board. This popular story and its characters such as Little John, Maid Marian, and Friar Tuck makes for a fun and colorful chess set! The king is 3.25" tall and with a 1 1/8" diameter base. Pieces are made from cast poly-resin, a very hard, stone like material. Pieces are intricately sculpted and hand painted with an amazing level of fine detail. We recommend a chess board with 1 3/4" squares (not included). (*Chessboard is not included).

My thanks to the previous reviewer! I deliberated a long time before getting this set because of the price tag, so learning of another buyer's experience was helpful. The pieces are a good size and weight (neither too heavy nor too light), and they look great. The RH theme is fun and a definite hook for younger members of the family. But you may want to get a storage box if you're not going to keep the set out.

The set looks very nice and we love it a lot. My kids are playing chess and they like using this set. It's not inexpensive, but worth the money
