Unencumbered by fine detail, the pieces will stand up to the rigor of everyday play and it's an especially good chess set for blitz. Pieces have green billiard cloth pads for a soft feel on the chess board and are weighted for stability. The rosewood and boxwood are hand polished to a beautiful sheen. | Great pieces - look and feel great - nice size for the $. Also Customer service is great!!! I ordered these and my cc had an issue... The Chess Store was right on top of their game and called me immediately ...then they also called me on a Saturday to try to fix MY cc issue... when all was done with the credit card the order shipped as odered and it even got here one day early!
