This chess set package includes one of our most affordable and popular chess sets matched with our beautiful Macassar Ebony Chess Case. Our German Staunton chess set with its old German Knight design is one of our original chess sets and continues to be extremely popular, especially in tournament chess. As you can see from the photo, the black ebonized chess pieces match beautifully with the black and burnt umber colors of the chess case. As with most of our chess sets, 2 extra queens are included. The chess case is made from black stained solid wood and ebony and maple veneers. It has two large drawers, one on each players side when you want the pieces stored away. The drawers will hold chess sets with a king base up to 1.625" diameter. An unbeatable value at this price!
