This chess set package includes our German Knight Staunton chess set in ebonized boxwood and boxwood matched with our beautiful Macassar Chess Case. Sometimes simple is best and that's true of our German Knight Staunton chess set with its simple but attractive design. Unencumbered by fine detail, the pieces will stand up to the rigor of everyday play and it's an especially good chess set for blitz. Pieces have green billiard cloth pads for a soft feel on the chess board and are weighted for stability. The chess case is made from solid wood and wood veneers and has two large drawers, one on each players side. The drawers will hold chess sets with a king base up to 1.5" diameter.
