Small Poseidon Chess Set Package - Red

This complete chess set package from Manopoulos includes their Small Poseidon chess set, brass chess board, and an attractive wood case that holds the chess pieces and board. Chess pieces are based on Poseidon the god of the sea along with other ancient Greek goddesses, hero's, and creatures. Poseidon of Melos is the king and Athena the queen. The dark squares on the chess board are painted in a multi-color red enamel and the entire board is lacquered to prevent tarnishing. The wood case looks like a real antique with its old, rustic look. A felt-lined plastic tray inside has individual compartments for storing chess pieces while the chess board nests one top. A gorgeous chess set that will look beautiful in your home or office!

Note: These are handmade chess pieces cast in zinc and then brass and nickel plated. Some minor porosity is inherent in this foundry process and may be visible through the brass and nickel plating. This adds to the unique character of these chess sets making each one a unique piece of art!
