Our Royal Guard Staunton chess set is designed for the rigors of everyday play and especially a game of blitz. We introduced the Royal Guard in 2008 with exactly that in mind, a chess set with an attractive knight having only the simplest of features but with a new look players would enjoy. Pieces have green billiard cloth pads for a soft feel when moving and are properly weighted for stability on the chess board. The wood is hand polished to a beautiful sheen. The Royal Guard will prove a favorite for the casual chess game at home or using in tournament play.

| These pieces are really good quality pieces and are at a GREAT price. They work good and are never confusing like previous sets that I had. Other sets that I had some of my friends couldn't tell which were the pawns or the bishops and which one was the king or the queen, but this one is much easier for that. I ordered them via U.S.P.S. priority mail and they came BEFORE the 5 days. The overall value of these pieces is great, I suggest buying these pieces. |
