This beautiful knight is hand carved from solid boxwood and is based on our St. John Staunton chess set. It's a perfect replica of our St. John knight except much larger standing 5.5" tall and weighing in at a full pound. The carving is done by the same craftsmen that make our chess sets and the precision of their hand carving is amazing and it's polished on buffing wheels exactly like our chess sets. For size comparison, the knight from our 4.4" chess set is pictured side by side with the paperweight so you can see how massive it is. It makes a greatpaper weight and will look elegant sitting on your desk. Any chess player will love it.
