I purchased these after losing one of my pawn pieces to an old set I had. This is a very nice size set the weight is appropriate to the price. I think this set will last as long as I need it to. When purchasing this set, be aware that the mold lines definitely show. THE PRICE IS RIGHT ON.

I ordered these along with some more expensive weighted pieces and actually like these more. Less than 1/6 the cost too. If they were just a tad heavier they would be perfect

Bought this to donate to local coffee shop, so that customers would be able to play a nice game of chess. Everybody loves it. While us pickier chess enthusiasts would probably go for something heavier, this fills the bill wonderfully. (The existing set they had was a lousy hollow plastic K-Mart set with red/black cardboard board.) The price is just right; seems like a good economy set for light occasional use. Probably not appropriate for blitz games, as pieces are not heavy enough. But shoul...
