A very attractive chess set... the heaviest I've seen in this size. I got the Burgundy & Ivory color combination, which is not listed as an available combination... however, it can be ordered by phone. The Burgundy color is a little darker with a slight brownish tint that was not seen in an earlier version of this set. At first I was disappointed because had expected the same color I had seen and liked very much; but after playing with the set a few times, I actually like this new color bette...

I had wanted a red and white staunton set for a long time and finally ordered the Crown tournament set from TCS. When it arrived I was not 100% satisfied with the red color of the men, and the red bag was not what I had expected either. The customer service at TCS was great and shipped me the replacement items within a few days. Now I have a set of plastic tournament pieces that I can be proud to carry into my local coffee shop and cigar lounge. Thanks very much to The Chess Store.
