This elegnant chess set package from our Staunton by Design Collection comes with our Decorative Parker Staunton in burnt golden rosewood and boxwood with our Brown Ash Burl & Erable Deluxe Chess Board. The Parker offers a traditional Staunton chess set with a unique design and finish. It has a classic style with handsome knights that have the look and feel of the older Jaques designs. To create the black, chess pieces are actually burnt followed by the final carving and design work which creates a beautiful contrast in colors between the blackened areas and the natural golden wood colors underneath. Chess pieces are then finished in high gloss lacquer giving the chess pieces a glass-like finish. To this we add our Brown Ash Burl and Erable Deluxe Chess Board. The brown color of the ash burl matches perfectly with the golden rosewood color of the chess pieces. The chess board is finished in a glass-like, polyurethane finish that compliments the pieces as designed - perfectly. This package is one of our favorites and will be your's too!
