Imported from Italy, Mary Stuart Queen of Scots is one our most popular chess sets from Italfama. Born during the Reformation, Queen Mary lived a controversial life during a time of religious turmoil when Protestantism and Catholicism fought for control. Linked to a plot to assassinate her cousin Queen Elizabeth I of England, she was eventually executed. This chess set is also available in a plain brass and nickel plated brass version.
