Our best value in a triple weighted plastic chess set with an attractive Jaques-like Staunton design. This is an extra large set with a 4.125" tall king and a 1.875" wide base. Pieces have green felt pads and come packaged in 2 heavy zip lock bags. Plus you get 2 extra queens! A tremendous price for a chess set with these features!

Note: We do not recommend this chess set for young children as the queen coronets are very pointed and sharp.

These pieces just arrived today! I came home from work to find these and 2 premium vinyl boards in 2.25". These pieces tower over my old wooden pieces. The feel and weight is very nice. I bought these for a chess tournament I'm doing with some friends and I know they will enjoy these!

I love these pieces! They are simply awesome! Probably the best looking plastic chess pieces with a nice gloss. Couple of things though: 1. Ouch! Watch out for the Queen's pointy crown. 2. The Queen is kind of short. Fantastic chess set!

A beautiful set with a light sheen to its pieces. As heavy as a Zukert chess set. The Professional chess set would have been better than the Zukert, but the former's Queen is on the short side. Its Queen should have been taller. I hope The Chess Store would tell its manufacturer to increase the height of the Queen on the Professional chess set. The other reviewer, Dan Wilson, is correct. I'm so glad the chess store had these colors availiable. I've been looking for months and I just had to order them. The size of the pieces are just right for the floppy boards. The Weight of the set feels Double Weighted, and is perfect for any type of game, especially if your the type to slam pieces. Best $20 bucks I've ever spent.
