our Old Russian Staunton in rosewood and boxwood finished in a beautiful
glass-like high gloss lacquer. The Old Russian chess set is distinguished by its elegant knights with their turned down heads and bishops with opposite color tops. The high gloss finish brings out the richness of the burgundy, orange, and brown tones in the rosewood making for a special chess set! This set comes standard with a burgundy color velour presentation case. The king is 3 3/4"
tall and with a base of 1 1/2". Pieces are double weighted and have green
billiard cloth pads. We recommend a chess board with 2 1/4" squares (not included).
