This chess set package includes our Yugoslavia Staunton chess set in ebonized boxwood and boxwood matched with our Macassar Chess Case. Our Yugoslavia Staunton originates from the chess set designed for the 1950 Chess Olympiad held in Dubrovnik, Yugoslavia. This unique and handsome Staunton design has since become a favorite for chess players around the world and one of our most popular chess sets. We made a few minor changes such as adding a tapered base to enhance appearance and balance of the chess pieces while maintaining the integrity of the intended design. The chess case is made from solid wood and wood veneers and has two large drawers, one on each players side. The drawers will hold chess sets with a king base up to 1.5" diameter. The customer service was very helpful. My package arrived on time, with a day to spare. The chess set has a nice feel to it and is weighted so it doesn't fall easily and that gives a it a better experience playing the game. I just hate it when the cheap plastic ones fall so very easily. Thank you!

I ordered this chess set on Jan 20th, 2013. It was delivered on my door in Norway on Jan. 30th 2013(Two of those days were in customs). +1 for speedy delivery! The package was very well packed with loads of protection around the chess board/set. The set itself is quite simply beautiful. The board looks exclusive and well made.
