The king is 4" tall with a 1.875" wide base and features a traditional formee cross on top. The pieces are heavily weighted giving them exceptional stability on the chess board. The bottoms of the pieces are padded with thick green baize for a nice cushion and easy sliding on the chess board. Pieces are individually hand polished to a beautiful luster. The chess board is nothing short of a fine piece of handmade furniture. Constructed from solid wood, it has 3 tiers rising up to the playing surface and elegantly molded edges.
