Exclusive 4 inch ebonized pieces |
| This is a very fine set. Initially, I found the pawns to be rather large--they are somewhat oversized compared to my other Staunton sets. I eventually got used to them and now this is one of my favorite sets. An excellent value. |

Perfect Pick for Practical Play |
| All the pieces are first-class quality, though the knights are not quite showpiece craftsmanship. Large, nicely weighted, and very comfortable for playing, with solid workmanship and flawless surface finish. The ebonized boxwood does not offer the jet-black of genuine ebony, but it is more robust against damage and retains the necessary high contrast to the white pieces. I got this set for day-to-day use and for taking to tournaments, and Iâm delighted with it. Excellent value for the price... |

New Exclusive Staunton Chess Set in Ebonized Boxwood & Boxwo |
| If there is a better wood set out there for the same money... Don't waste your time, you WON'T find one. This has everything you want in a 4" king set. Even the pawns are treated with the respect they deserve. Can't imagine anyone not being impressed. Craftsmanship BETTER than HOS in 3 times the price range---really! Perhaps the best kept secret out there. I now own my favorite set for life, you know, that one we all look for! Great customer service as well! |

| this is the best set in the $100 range. i like the wider bishop slash and the overall design and craftmanship of the pieces. no need to hunt for the antique collectors' jaques of london. it's really a steal at $100! |

New exclusive- 4" king |
| wow, these have everyting you need from an early set. the bishops and knights are the most stylish. I don't see much of these anymore, I'm guessing because of the delicate features and details, they're mostly kept for play at home. the rosewood set looks nice but being more in the old style spirit, I would go with classic black. |

Review for N.E.(continued) |
| ...continuing on my review, the knight design is based in the original Jaques tradition, inspired from a greek knight's head sculpture in the British museum. they're tall and heavy and I love to bang 'em on the board and say check! and if you ask me, they're a lot taller and better looking than those collector knights the house of staunton brag so much about. The King's finial is old jaques style, w/ a tiny ball on top, as is the queen's crown, the rooks have 6 wide-spaced slots as they shou... |

Review for New Exclusive |
| This set has all the features of an old english style set. I love the wide open slash on the bishops, typical of those early1850's Jaques sets. I would've named it the OLD Eclusive! The pieces are decently weighted w/ a nice feel in the hand at that price is unbelievable. TCS did an excellent job in the extra-safe packaging of the pieces. 5 stars to the chess store. |

New Exclusive NEB400 |
| This is absolutly THE best set for $100. The pieces are not too heavy and the Knights are perfectly carved. The Bishops give it and old style look that makes me feel like I'm Lasker when playing! I just wish it came in a 3.75 King as the 4.0 is a bit crowded on 2 1/4 squares. I recommend a 2 3/8 board. |
