The 3" Grande Staunton in ebony is one of the nicest chess sets available. For a smaller set, it has great weight and presence. The ebony pieces are pure black with no brown graining. Beats anything currently on the market, including HOS.

Bought the 3" Grande Staunton Ebony set. I couldn't be more pleased. All the pieces are even, uniform and have good polish. The knights are very well carved, with alot of detail for this price range. The bottoms are all covered in leather. A very good value for the money !
