French Lardy Staunton Chess Set in Golden Rosewood & Boxwood - 3.25" King

Our French Lardy Staunton is based on the original chess set made by the Lardy Chess Company in France from many years ago. There's nothing fancy about this chess set but it has a masculine handsomeness and a traditional Staunton look that serious chess players prefer for their everyday chess set. Pieces have green billiard cloth pads for a soft feel when moving and are properly weighted for stability on the chess board. The golden rosewood and boxwood are hand polished to a beautiful sheen. The French Lardy is truly a classic and an exceptional chess set for the casual game at home or tournament play.

The price was excellent for the quality of merchandise. I was very paticular in what I was looking for since my Uncle hand made a beautiful inlaid chess board table. Whe have a glass cover over the top to protect it. The color of this set was perfect for what he had made it with. The felt bottom is so nice for movement over the glass. Service was excellent as it came with in 3 business days. my rating for overall service with 5 stars being the best... would be 5 stars. Thanks.

I thought this was a great price for the quality of the chess pieces. They are well made and sturdy. We loved the felt on the bottom, they were well attached to the pieces unlike some pieces we've had before.
