This chess set package includes our French Lardy Staunton Chess Set in ebonized boxwood and golden rosewood matched with a beautiful walnut chess and backgammon case. Our French Lardy Staunton is a close replica of one of the chess sets once made by the Lardy Chess Company in France. Truly a classic and continues to be extremely popular with chess players. As with most of our chess sets, 2 extra queens are included. The case is made from solid walnut and other wood veneers and has a beautiful molded design. The chess and backgammon board has a raised frame that will keep pieces from falling off. The chess board flips over for backgammon on the other side. Inside there's plenty of room for storing chess pieces, backgammon chips, dice, and dice cups. An unbeatable value at this price!
