This chess set package includes our Fierce Knight Staunton in ebonized boxwood and boxwood with our Mahogany and Maple Chess Board and matching Mahogany Chess Box. The black and boxwood chess pieces created a sharp and elegant contrast against the rich colors of the mahogany chess board. The mahogany chess box is the perfect compliment to this package and one of the few matching board and box combinations you will find! The knights are hand carved with meticulous precision and with features such as the perked ears, eyes, and mane that gives this set its name.

Arrived in a timely manner and without any shipping damage. Set, board, and box appear to be of good quality and the pieces are weighted well. The detail on the knights is good. The finish on one of the ebonized pieces was less than perfect. Overall, I believe the set package is a good buy for the $139. Thank you for making it available.

This set, board and box perfectly compliment my Fierce Knight 3.5" Red Sandalwood set as well. Any color combination of these well matched pieces are worthy of historic combat on this checkered playing field.

It took me a very long time to whittle down my choices. I especially like the 'fierce knight' because of the marvelous carving on the knight mouth. I am VERY happy with this set. The pieces are beautiful and a nice weight. The chess box is much nicer in person than it is pictured. I am not sorry I purchased this set at a good and fair price.
