This beautiful copper plated chess set from Manopoulos is based on Hercules, one of the most popular hero's in Greek mythology. Chess pieces are based on ancient Greek mythological gods, hero's, and creatures including Zeus, Athena, Aris, and Centaur. A drawn-bow Hercules is the pawn. Chess pieces are hand-cast in solid zinc and then copper plated. The white pieces are highlighted with a blue paint to imitate the natural color of oxidized copper. It looks extremely sharp!
