This beautiful brass and nickel chess set from Manopoulos is based on Poseidon the god of the sea along with other ancient Greek goddesses, hero's, and creatures. Poseidon of Melos is the king and Athena the queen. Chess pieces are hand-cast in solid zinc and then brass and nickel plated. Chess pieces are then lacquered to keep the lustrous finish from ever tarnishing.
