Large Poseidon Chess Set in Green Antiqued Copper & Brass - 4.5" King

This beautiful brass copper plated chess set from Manopoulos is based on Poseidon the god of the sea along with other ancient Greek goddesses, hero's, and creatures. Poseidon of Melos is the king and Athena the queen. Chess pieces are hand-cast in solid zinc and with brass and copper plated. The white pieces are brass and copper plated cast solid zind. The copper pieces have a faux forest green oxidation like you might see on an old copper set. A beautiful contrast of colors and Manopoulos' most impressive set!

These are beautiful 'state of the art' chess pieces. My children are thrilled as well - they love mythology. The pieces seem to come alive as you play chess. one big battle field. The quality is superb. Very pleased I purchased this!
