This beautiful chess case from Italy has an elm root and maple chess board on top and framed by a solid walnut case below. Elm root is unique and colorful with brown and orange colors that intermingle within the twisted grain of the burl wood. A wide black inlay defines the playing area while contrasting richly against elm root and maple colors. The case has a single drawer for storing chess pieces when they are not being displayed or used in a game.
