The Chess Store's marble and onyx chess sets are the most beautiful

We designed this traditional Staunton chess set pattern specifically for marble and onyx to capture as much shape and detail as possible in a material that is far more difficult to work with than wood. The coral stone and the black marble is a wonderful combination as it creates a sharp contrast of materials and color. Coral stone is one of the most interesting and unique stones used for chess sets as you will find a wide variety of sea shells and other fossilized marine life clearly visible in the stone. The black marble is primarily solid black but may have gray mottled patterns and lighter variegations. We cover the bottom of the chess board with
