The box is lined with a soft black material to protect the pieces and includes a removable center divider so that you can separate the colors if you choose. I received this product today and was very pleased. The price I paid was reasonable considering the high quality of the chest. Chest is fully lined with a divider and holds all of my 4 inch pieces with room for extra queens. The service I got was fine, shipping was prompt.
