This chess set package includes our Classic Staunton Chess Set in Burnt Boxwood matched with our Black and Ash Burl Deluxe Chess Board. As you can see from our photo, the chess set and board is a perfect match and the black and golden colors creates a striking contrast. These chess pieces are purely traditional Staunton but with an artistic flare! The chess pieces are actually burnt followed by the final carving process and design work which creates a beautiful contrast in colors between the burnt blackened areas and the natural golden wood colors underneath. Chess pieces are then finished in high gloss lacquer giving the chess pieces a glass-like finish. Chess pieces come packaged in our fancy black and gold foil gift box.
