Classic Staunton Chess Set in Burnt Boxwood & Boxwood - 3 3/4" King

The Classic Staunton in burnt boxwood and boxwood has a traditional Staunton design with an artistic flare. The chess pieces are actually burnt followed by the final carving and design work which creates a beautiful contrast in colors between the blackened areas and the natural golden wood colors underneath. Chess pieces are then finished in high gloss lacquer giving the chess pieces a glass-like finish. The king is 3 3/4" tall with a base of 1 5/8". Chess pieces are double weighted, have black leather pads and come packaged in The Chess Store black and gold cardboard box. One of the sharpest looking chess sets you'll find anywhere!
