British Staunton Chess Set African Padauk & Boxwood Signature Package - 4" King

This package includes our British Staunton Chess Set in African Padauk and Boxwood matched with our Padauk and Maple Signature Chess Board. African Padauk is one of the most colorful of the exotic woods with rich orange and burgundy colors intermingled. The British Staunton is modeled after one the old British Chess Companys popular designs. The pieces are overall elegantly simple with a purely traditional Staunton design and an old classic look.

The king is 4" tall with a 1.625" wide base and has a traditional formee cross. The bases of the pieces are heavily weighted for exceptional stability on the chess board. The bottoms of the pieces are padded with thick green baize for a nice cushion and easy sliding on the chess board. Pieces are individually hand polished to a beautiful luster. The chess board is nothing short of a fine piece of handmade furniture. Constructed from solid wood, it has 3 tiers rising up to the playing surface and elegantly molded edges.
