Our Blaze Backgammon Set is an extra large, tournament size backgammon set and colorful with a blazing contrast between its beautiful black leatherette case and the red cork playing surface inside. The playing surface is accented with black points with matching black and white mother-of-pearl chips. We use 1/8" for the playing surface and side rails which makes for a soft, quiet roll of the dice. The cork has 3 coats of stain to create a beautiful, rich color and then we silk screen the points. The result is an excellent playing surface with flush points so that you can slide chips from point to point, unlike sewn or glued points found on cheaper sets which tend to catch the chips.
You will find high quality hardware including hinges and latches plus we added the extra feature of brass corners to protect the case when you take it out. This backgammon set includes 2 dice cups, two sets of dice, and a doubling cube. All in all, this backgammon set has features serious players love and that you normally find on backgammon sets priced over $300 at less than half the price.

| First of all, this set was everything you said and more!! You all were so helpful when I had so many questions about various sets! My husband loves it and we began playing on xmas day. The board is high quality, a good roll, chips are sturdy and feel good. The set looks like it should be more expensive. It was packed beautifully and with detail. | This is a beautiful set, just what is advertised. The cork lining makes the dice sound very quiet and the pieces are pretty and fun to play with. It was definitely worth the price. For us, newcomers to backgammon, the board seemed a little large, 20 x 28, and my daughter had a little trouble handling that size of board. My highest recommendation goes to the service from The Chess Store, though. The first board I ordered through Amazon was out of stock at Amazon, and the second board I ordered... |
