I have purchased the Hand Painted Renaissance Chess
Set, the Burnt & Etched Sheesham Wood & Boxwood Chess Set, ( 3 3/4"
King ), and the Civil War Chess Board. Everything was shipped on time, received
in excellent condition, and was absolutely beautiful. The quality of the chess
pieces and of the chess board was far and above what I had anticipated. The Hand
Painted Renaissance pieces, on the Civil War Board is Stunning. The Burnt &
Etched Boxwood set, is without a doubt one of the most beautiful traditional
sets that I have ever seen. I cannot express enough how happy I am that I made
the decision to order my chess sets and chess board from THE CHESS STORE.
Playing with these pieces is just wonderful, but if you just wanted them as a
show piece, you couldn't do any better then buying them from The Chess Store.
These chess sets are truly gorgeous. Again, thank you for the friendly and

I would like to say that I was extremely pleased with the product, the service,
and even the packaging. I searched through more chess merchandising websites
than I care to recall, and found yours to be the best in terms of selection and
price. For example, I found a number of places that sell the very nice
"exclusive Staunton" sets with inflated prices and misleading names
like "super Jaques", when you can tell from photos what it is. Your
store should be linked to more sites as it is simply superior to most of what is
out there. I would strongly recommend your business to others. Count on me as
regular customer in the future, as you have a lot of the types of chess sets I

is the Deluxe "Jaques Style" Staunton set in Rosewood and Boxwood,
with a 3 3/4" King. The board is the brown and whitened erable 'birds eye'
with 2 1/4" squares. The photos of the board and pieces on your website do
not do this set justice. This is one beautiful chess set.
